A romantic sci-fi thriller is making waves on the Prime Video charts today. The film was released to much fanfare in 2016 and made over $300 million at the global box office. Not to mention, the picture is toplined by two beloved mega-stars. More specifically, I’m talking about Morten Tyldum’s Passengers.

Despite an impressive showing at the box office, the picture wasn’t much of a hit with critics. Passengers sits at an abysmal Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of just 30%. Yikes! But don’t let that deter you. The film has a loyal fanbase.

The feature’s user score on Rotten Tomatoes is a far more favorable 63%. Moreover, the film boasts an above-average IMDb user rating of 7/10. Seeing as the flick is rocking the Prime Video charts 8 years on from release, I think it’s safe to say movie lovers really dig this sci-fi romance.

If you’re on the fence about checking Passengers out, you can sample a collection of social media reactions below.

The picture’s star-studded cast includes Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, and Andy Garcia. Prometheus scribe Jon Spaihts penned the script.

The setup for this sci-fi-infused thriller goes like this: On a routine journey through space to a new home, two passengers, sleeping in suspended animation, are awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim and Aurora face living the rest of their lives on board, with every luxury they could ever ask for, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction until they discover the ship is in grave danger. With the lives of 5,000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all.
