‘The Front Room’ Trailer: Brandy Is Back In New A24 Horror Film
After over two decades, Brandy is making her triumphant return to the horror genre in writers/directors Max Eggers and Sam Eggers’ new film The Front Room. And yes, Max and Sam are in fact the brothers of genre darling Robert Eggers, whose Nosferatu comes to theaters this Christmas. But Max and Sam are aiming to set themselves apart from their sibling with a twisted psychological nightmare between a woman and her strange mother-in-law.
In The Front Room:
Everything goes to hell for newly-pregnant Belinda (Brandy) after her mother-in-law (Kathryn Hunter) moves in. As the diabolical guest tries to get her claws on the child, Belinda must draw the line somewhere…
Watch the official trailer:
If you’re unfamiliar with Kathryn Hunter, who plays the mother-in-law, she’s known for her incredibly physical performances both on the stage and in film. In fact, she was the first British woman to play the character of King Lear professionally. She’s also appeared in films such as Poor Things and The Tragedy of Macbeth. Plus, she’s slotted to appear in Bryan Bertino’s next tale of terror.
Brandy and Hunter star in the film with Andrew Burnap and Neal Huff.
The Front Room comes exclusively to theaters on September 6, 2024.
