While the makers of cheesy shark movies keep trying to come up with the next big thing, writer-director Leigh Scott is thinking smaller with his new horror-comedy Piranha Sharks. We’re gonna need a bigger aquarium!
Forget about that Sharknado soon to strike New York City, great white sharks the size of piranhas are swarming the Big Apple in this tongue-in-jaws nature gone amok flick from Leigh Scott (The Penny Dreadful Picture Show, Dorothy & the Witches of Oz).
Josh Hammond, John Wells, Noel Thurman, and Jessica Sonneborn are amongst those forced to contend with the man-eating, mutant, pint-sized apex predators that get loose in the plumbing of New York City.
Synopsis:
Great white sharks bio-engineered to be the size of piranhas with the purpose of living in rich people’s exotic aquariums terrorize New York City when they get into the water supply and do what great white sharks do best.
Just when you thought it was safe to take a bath…
