‘The Strangers – Chapter 2’ Trailer: A Bad Night Just Got Way Worse
At the end of Renny Harlin’s The Strangers – Chapter 1, we’re left wondering about what’s next for Madelaine Petsch’s Maya. Now, in the recently released teaser trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2, it looks like Maya’s night is going from bad to somehow worse.
Chapter 2 is set immediately after the events of the first film and the synopsis simply reads, “The chilling next chapter of The Strangers franchise.”
Watch the first teaser trailer below:
This is the second in the new Strangers trilogy, which is meant to be a reboot of Bryan Bertino’s iconic 2008 film. All three films are meant to take place over one night and give the audience more of a look into the world of the masked strangers themselves. And by the looks of the trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2, that’s going to start in earnest with this second installment.
Petsch returns for the second film, as well as Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Froy Gutierrez will make an appearance due to his untimely end in the first film, but who knows what Harlin has up his sleeve.
Courtney Solomon, p.g.a., Mark Canton, p.g.a., Christopher Milburn, Charlie Dombek, Gary Raskin, and Alastair Burlingham produced the film, with a script written by Alan R. Cohen & Alan Freedland.
No specific release date has been announced yet, but Lionsgate is bringing The Strangers – Chapter 2 to theaters in 2025.
