Dread Central Steps into Delusion: The Red Castle

Delusion: The Red Castle

The premiere of immersive horror entertainment, Jon Braver’s long-running Delusion has returned to southern California for its 13th season, this year with “The Red Castle”, and we couldn’t be more delighted. Running select nights through November 3, the unique experience, in keeping with years’ past, puts you in the middle of your very own horror movie as you and your group traverse the landmark Stimson House, a beautiful—if not foreboding— structure located in the University Park area of Los Angeles.

Built in 1891 by a lumber tycoon (and once dynamited by someone attempting to blackmail him), the Richardsonian Romanesque historical landmark, replete with an imposing four-story Gothic tower, has over its history served as a fraternity house, a nunnery and a film location. For Delusion: The Red Castle, it serves as the perfect backdrop (and integral character) for a narrative that places guests in the role of Dr. Frederick Lowell’s most prized patients. Found sleepwalking at night on the estate’s grounds and amnesiac, attendees find themselves immediately thrust into the story of The Red Castle—and with telekinetic powers to boot (if you’ve ever thought it would be cool to have Carrie White’s abilities, here’s your chance).

To say anymore would spoil the experience and the cerebral and often emotional frights which exist within, although we will say Delusion once again has delivered top-tier production design, as well as stellar performances from its cast, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the world Braver and his team have so masterfully crafted for 2024.

Don’t miss it.

Tickets are available now at www.enterdelusion.com, and as dates historically have sold out quickly, we’d encourage you to secure yours now, so as not to miss Braver’s latest exquisite venture.
