Marilyn Manson’s Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll Back From the Dead?

Back in 2010 Marilyn Manson’s idea for a movie called Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll seemed to have been in place and moving along quite nicely. We even had a good cast consisting of Manson himself, Lily Cole, Tilda Swinton, and Evan Rachel Wood.
Unfortunately things hit a wall and production shut down.
“The trailer caused such a backlash that a decision was made to close down the project. It’s unlikely it will ever see the light of day,” claimed a source close to the studio that was backing the film. You can see that trailer below.
Taking all of that into consideration Manson took to his Twitter account today with the following news…
Happy that my PHANTASMAGORIA screenplay, with me portraying Lewis Carroll, is in production. His diaries inspired the best horror film ever.
