Fans in New York City can get their Blu-ray signed on November 3 at 5 PM at a special signing at the iconic Forbidden Planet. Director Dylan Mars Greenberg and actors Amanda Flowers (Shakespeare’s Shitstorm) and Jac Bernhard (Inventing Anna) will be in attendance.

That same month, the film will have a theatrical run at Williamsburg’s Spectacle Theater with tickets starting at just $5! See all screening times and purchase your tickets here.

Spirit Riser was a six-year project made with limited resources and lots of creativity from the famously outrageous Greenberg.

For this magnum opus, Greenberg gathered some of her cast regulars in Amanda Flowers, Jurgen Azazel Munster (Werewolf Bitches from Outer Space), and Matthew Silver (Glamarus), and joined them with new faces, including Cherie Currie of The Runaways, an unrecognizable Whitney Moore (Birdemic), Lynn Lowry (Shivers), Kansas and Parker Bowling (Cuddly Toys), rock and roll legend Alan Merrill, Patti Harrison (Together Together), and Gender Outlaw author Kate Bornstein, with narration by Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs).

Special features on the Blu-ray include:

  • Feature-length commentary with director Dylan Greenberg and star Amanda Flowers
  • “Woman From Mars” documentary by Piano Whitman (41 min)
  • Q&A with director Dylan Greenberg and star Parker Love Bowling
  • Interdimensional interview with star Kansas Bowling
  • Dylan Greenberg’s first film, Glamarus (70 min)
  • 8mm short film, “The Triangular Door” narrated by Guy Maddin (9 min)
  • Dylan talks to star Jac Bernhard
  • “Glow in the Dark” music video
  • Original trailer
  • English SDH subtitles

Spirit Riser is now available for purchase on Vinegar Syndrome’s website. The VHS can be purchased from Lunchmeat.
