‘Cellar Door’ Exclusive Clip: Scott Speedman Investigates The Mysterious Cellar
I’m not a homeowner quite yet, but it frankly seems impossible to find the perfect place to call your own. So when you find that singular place that calls to you, who are you to ignore that call, even if there are a few caveats like never going in the cellar. Such is the situation the couple in Vaughn Stein’s new film Cellar Door find themselves in.
In Cellar Door:
Looking for a fresh start after a miscarriage, a couple find themselves being gifted the house of their dreams from a wealthy homeowner with one caveat—they can never open the cellar door. Whether they can live without knowing triggers shocking consequences.
In our exclusive clip from the film, we see Scott Speedman try to do exactly what he told not to: enter the cellar.

Stein exclusively told Dread Central in an upcoming interview:
“I love a script with a really simple, elegant premise at the dark heart, and that really draws me in. And there’s something so deliciously twisted about Cellar Door. It has that sense of the weird gothic fairy tale about it, but done in a really interesting, contemporary way, done in a way that I didn’t find derivative.”
Speedman stars in the film with Jordana Brewster and Laurence Fishburne. Stein directed the film from a script written by Sam Scott & Lori Evans Taylor.
Tom Butterfield, John Papsidera, Craig Perry, and Sheila Hanahan served as producers.
Cellar Door comes to select theaters and digital on November 1, 2024.
