An exceptionally gory slasher picture is currently captivating (and mortifying) Amazon Freevee users, and it’s free to stream. The film in question features a sequence so shocking, so depraved, and so unsettling that people simply refer to it as that scene. I’m talking about Terrifier 2 and the nauseating bedroom kill sequence that seemingly never ends.

The sequence has become a pop culture meme. Art the Clown scalps and dismembers a woman, only to come back to literally pour salt in her wounds. It’s a different level of depravity. It’s sadistic and downright wrong. Yet, it’s nearly impossible to look away. I guess that’s the magic of Damien Leone’s Terrifier franchise. The entire trilogy is shocking. And each new franchise installment attempts to push the envelope even further than the last.

If you have somehow avoided the Terrifier films thus far and would like to see what you’re missing, you can find the first two installments streaming on Amazon Freevee as of the publication of this post. If you make it through the first series installment, brace yourself for that scene in the second. I cannot adequately prepare you for how traumatic it is. But the benefit to watching it at home on Freevee is that you can press the pause button if it gets too intense.

Damien Leone created the Terrifier franchise. He first debuted the Art the Clown in his short film The 9th Circle. The killer clown makes his second appearance in Leone’s short film Terrifier. From there, Art appears in All Hallow’s Eve, an anthology film that features the original shorts as segments. Art the Clown’s next appearance after that was in the DREAD film Terrifier. The rest, as they say, is history.

If you are unsure if you’re ready to endure that scene in Terrifier 2, you can scope a sampling of social media reactions below to see what fellow horror fans are saying.

The setup for Terrifier 2 goes like this: Resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County to terrorize a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.
