We have a couple of updates for NBC’s “Grimm” that should help fill the void until the Olympics are over and the show returns, including word on a new guest star and the upcoming digital series “Love Is in the Air.”
Per TV Guide, C. Thomas Howell (pictured; “Southland,” “Criminal Minds”) will play FBI agent Weston Steward in Episode 3.18. Because of his experience and capability, Prince Vikton (Alexis Denisof) views Weston as an invaluable resource when Stateside issues need to be handled swiftly and precisely.
Also, as we told you in late January when we heard from “Grimm” co-stars Silas Weir Mitchell and Bree Turner (full interview here), a new standalone web series is on its way that focuses on Juliette and Rosalee and their friendship; and we have more details on that as follows:
In this new digital series for “Grimm,” Rosalee (Bree Turner) and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) gather their girlfriends for a Valentine’s Day spa party, only to discover a Zieglevolk casting a love spell among the group. The four-part “Love Is in the Air,” directed by Chip Touhey and written by Nick Peet, debuts TOMORROW, February 14th.
“Love Is in the Air” will be streamed on NBC.com, Hulu, and YouTube; and we’ll be posting the videos here as well.
“We worked closely with the writers … to give our audience a chance to stay in touch with their favorite shows [during the Olympics],” said Rob Hayes, Executive Vice President, Digital Media, NBC Entertainment. “These digital series provide a great way to give our loyal audience even more original programming.”
“Grimm” returns February 28th. For more info in the meantime, visit “Grimm” on NBC.com, check out some InstaGRIMMS on Instagram, “like” “Grimm” on Facebook, and follow “Grimm” on Twitter.
“Grimm” Episode 3.13 – “Revelation” (airs 2/28/14; 9-10PM)
THE SEARCH FOR A SCALP-COLLECTING SERIAL KILLER CONTINUES AS MONROE’S BATTLE AT HOME INTENSIFIES — Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) fights an impossible battle to convince his parents (guest stars Dee Wallace and Chris Mulkey) to embrace the life choices he’s made. Meanwhile, Nick (David Giuntoli) turns to Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) to help him figure out the Wesen aspect of his cop-killing scalper investigation.
On the Royal baby front, Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) learns new information that forces him to contact Adalind (Claire Coffee) in the interest of keeping her and the baby safe from Viktor (guest star Alexis Denisof). Shohreh Aghdashloo also guest stars; Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee also star. Written by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf and directed by Terrence O’Hara.
