From the mind of Dean Alioto, godfather of found footage and director of The McPherson Tapes, comes a brand-new documentary about what lurks outside Earth’s atmosphere. After years of learning about and experiencing those obsessed with UFOs and aliens, he’s translating that into an actual documentary about the existence of extraterrestrials. The documentary, titled The Alien Perspective, features interviews with experts, as well as animation by Arvid Steen.

The Alien Perspective offers a bold and groundbreaking take on the UFO and alien phenomenon. This first installment of a two-part movie series takes audiences on a journey unlike any before—exploring the UFO phenomenon not from humanity’s viewpoint, but for the first time, from the perspective of the visitors themselves. Seven years in the making, this unique project features insights from world-renowned scientists outside the UFO field, including NASA directors and esteemed professors from Oxford and more.

These experts delve into the possible motivations and reasons behind extraterrestrial visits to Earth and their interactions with humans. The film not only examines compelling evidence from the most credible UFO cases but also explores how these encounters impact humanity on a deeper level. Whether you’re a believer, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, The Alien Perspective invites you to consider the phenomenon in a whole new light.

In our exclusive clip from the upcoming two-part documentary, Alioto explores the Tic Tac Encounter and interviews two retired Navy officials who were there during the encounter.

From working with George Romero on everything from Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead to Tales from the Darkside to the Dune miniseries to his Netflix series Residue...he's done it all. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old.
