‘Terrifier 4’ Will Delve Into Art The Clown’s Origin Story
Usually on your birthday, people give you presents. But for Damien Leone’s birthday, he gave us a present: an update on Terrifier 4! The director responsible for blessing us with Art the Clown took to Instagram to let the world know the script for the fourth installment is underway, along with some other surprises.
Most importantly, he shares that this is the final Terrifier film and it’ll delve into Art The Clown’s origin story. Where exactly did this creepy clown come from and why is he so bloodthirsty? It seems that Terrifier 4 will (hopefully) explain all.

Terrifier 3 ends with a bloody showdown and the opening of the gate of Hell. As the portal opens, Sienna’s niece Gabbie falls into the gaping hole, swallowed up by Hell itself, bringing Sienna’s sword with her. Meanwhile, Art escapes and lives another day. Terrifier 4 will, hopefully, involve Sienna’s long, arduous journey into Satan’s realm to save Gabbie and vanquish the evil clown once and for all.
Terrifier 2 and 3 smashed box office expectations, with the second installment grossing $15.7 million worldwide. and the third installment grossing $88.7 million worldwide. These films illustrate the power of not only original horror, but of indie horror, as well, with Leone packing the nastiest of punches on economical budgets.
David Howard Thornton is expected to reprise his role as the legendary Art the Clow, and Lauren LaVera is expected to return as final girl Sienna Shaw.
The first three Terrifier films are available now on digital and VOD. Terrifier 3 comes to Screambox on February 14, 2025.
