Mummy Found Footage Movie ‘The Ceremony Is About To Begin’ Is Now Streaming On Prime Video
Terror Films Releasing has teamed with writer/director Sean Nichols Lynch to release his cult found footage horror film, The Ceremony Is About To Begin.
The film follows a documentary filmmaker, who witnesses madness, mayhem, and mummification rites upon visiting an ancient Egyptian-inspired cult to interview its leader.

In his review of the film from Panic Fest 2025, Dread Central’s Matt Konopka wrote:
Lynch ultimately delivers on the mummy mayhem that fans such as myself crave, and in the process, examines the all-too-human curse of false prophets that have plagued humanity for centuries. Sure, The Ceremony is About to Begin doesn’t un-wrap many surprises, but the filmmaker nonetheless presents an addition to the sub-genre that should leave most satisfied with this effective excavation of the creature.
Chad Westbrook Hinds and John Laird (who also co-wrote with Lynch) star in the found footage creature feature.

The film is currently available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video for rent or purchase. Terror Films Releasing will bring the film to platforms such as Tubi TV, Chilling, Scare Network TV, Kings of Horror, and Watch Movies Now on March 14th, 2025.
