Joey Morgan to Scout and Slay Zombies

The previously announced Tye Sheridan has found some company to assist him in zombie slaying as Variety is reporting that newcomer Joseph Morgan has landed one of the lead roles opposite the Mud actor in Paramount’s Scouts vs. Zombies.

Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) is directing the horror comedy.

On the eve of their last camp out, three scouts discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak. Morgan will play the nerd in the group who is secure in his comfort zone but awkward to the rest of the world.

Todd Garner, Andy Fickman, Betsy Sullenger, and Bryan Brucks are producing.

Production is set to start in May.
