Blanc/Biehn Productions Set to Begin Production on Fetish FactoryAlrighty, kids! We’re very proud to announce that our very own Staci Layne Wilson’s latest film, Fetish Factory, is officially in production! Read on for casting along with all the details you need!

From the Press Release
Blanc/Biehn Productions, along with Lony Ruhmann as executive producer, will be going into production on Fetish Factory, written and directed by Staci Layne Wilson.

Imagine a wickedly saucy by invitation-only stage show and posh private peeps in which your every fantasy can come true, fulfilled by the likes of luscious ladies imitating the sex goddesses of yore: Bettie Page, Jayne Mansfield, and Suzie Wong. Along with classic burlesque strip-teases and curio acts – a ventriloquist, a magician, and a whip-dancer – you are in for the night of your life at the Fetish Factory. That is, until your life is at stake when the apocalypse strikes! Once mild-mannered men become bloodthirsty zombies, and it’s up to the girls to defend themselves by any means – even if that means turning their bullet bras, garter belts, and spike-heels into deadly weapons.

Wilson is an award-winning filmmaker for her shorts and music videos. Fetish Factory marks her feature debut. “The story centers on pin-up vixens vs. bloodthirsty zombies and is set in post-apocalyptic Hollywood,” she said, “which is perfect for me, since my mom was a celebrated ‘nudie cutie’ model in the 1960s, I was born and raised in L.A., and I’m a lifelong horror movie fan.”

While the film is still in the final casting stages, Chase Williamson (pictured above; John Dies at the End) is set for the male lead. “Love the script, this movie’s going to be a total blast!” said Williamson. Also starring Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (The Victim, Wrong Cops, She Rises, Everly), Diane Ayala Goldner (The Collector), Emma Julia Jacobs (Hitchcock), Jesse Merlin (Re-Animator: The Musical), Ruben Pla (Big Ass Spider), and Morgan Peter Brown (Absentia). Montreal-based alternative model and fetish superstar The Richard and gorgeous go-go icon Jenimay Walker round out the cast. (More announcements coming soon!)

Producer/actress Jennifer Blanc-Biehn has known Wilson for years, but this is their first collaboration. “I am so excited to finally be working so closely with Staci. This is something we have been trying to make happen for quite some time now.”

Executive producer Ruhmann, who came up with the idea for the story and tapped Wilson to flesh it out (so to speak) with an original screenplay, said, “When I was a kid, these grainy, cleavage obsessed pin-up photos used to put me in another world. I want to see these mysterious, unattainable, naughty women of my adolescence come to life. I anticipate our film’s vibe being fun, humorous, ironic, visually pleasing, and lusty in a happy way.”

“After I read the script, I just couldn’t stop smiling. There is so much love created here in Fetish Factory for all… That is the best of beauty and horror,” said The Richard, who will be working with Wilson for the first time.

Goldner, on the other hand, is a veteran, having appeared in most of the director’s short films. “Having worked with Staci several times, I consider her a master of imagery. Her script integrates her favorite things: pin-ups and monsters. My character is bawdy, sexy and in charge – I can sink my teeth into that!”

Jesse Merlin, who plays a makeup-mad character dubbed Lipstick, said, “Super-thrilled and delighted to fight zombies as a suave, gentlemanly pervert. Facing down a ravenous horde in immaculate ladies’ makeup marks a new personal high in badassery. Having been decapitated as Dr. Hill in Re-Animator: The Musical 170 times, I’ve always been on the other side of the zombie barricade. Until now.”

Pla, who plays a character called Whipping Boy, added, “I am so looking forward to being whipped into shape.”

Cinematographer Steve Romano, whose credits include Blanc/Biehn Productions’ She Rises, The Night Visitor, and Altered Perception, has also shot sexy music videos for Beyonce (“Rocket”), Vassy (“Beautiful”), and many more. “Steve appreciates female beauty, and his work shows that in every frame. I can’t wait to work with him on bringing our lovely ladies to life… and our zombies to their grisly deaths,” said Wilson.

Mars Homeworld will be doing the original score. “As a musician who often feels completely uninterested with whatever the cinema music d’jour is,” he said, “I am truly excited by this opportunity to delve into those retro-racy, superphonic, swinging musical influences of yesteryear to bring the Fetish Factory score alive. A little old, a little new; I get to pull out the vintage gear and pretend I’m Les Baxter as re-sampled by Trent Reznor. Too cool.”

Fetish Factory is a thrilling and sensual horror suspense film with a heaping helping of vintage burlesque bawdiness. Production begins in May 2014.
