‘Bring Her Back’ Trailer: Get Ready To Meet An Angel in The Philippou Brothers’ New Movie

Ever since watching Talk To Me at Sundance in 2023, I knew I was destined to be a Danny and Michael Philippou fan. They know how to craft fear for contemporary audiences, and if the official trailer for their sophomore feature, Bring Her Back, is any indicator, then their latest is set to be nastier, scarier, and weirder than their debut.

Even with the release of the official trailer, A24 and the Philippous are still keeping much of the film’s synopsis under wraps. The current synopsis simply reads, “A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.“

As a certified found footage freak, seeing how the Philippous are using in-world camera just in the trailer has me absolutely salivating. Those moments alone already make the film’s world feel more real. I can’t wait to see what hell those VHS tapes contain.

Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman wrote the script for Bring Her Back. Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton produced the film.

Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, Mischa Heywood, and Sally Hawkins star in the terrifying new film.

Bring Her Back comes to theaters on May 30, 2025.
