Texas Frightmare Weekend is proud to reveal its 2014 poster, created in cooperation with Mondo, America’s finest purveyors of cinematic artwork. TFW’s 2014 poster celebrates two of this year’s festival’s biggest draws…
…the Hellraiser series and George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, masterfully combined by iconic horror artist Gary Pullin. A very limited number of only 100 posters will be printed for this year’s convention, making them the show’s hottest collectors item. Available only at the show itself, quantities will be limited to two per customer.
From the Press Release
Texas Frightmare Weekend is back for blood May 2nd through the 4th, offering up more celebrity guests, more vendors, and the continuation of its wildly popular free film screenings to all TFW passholders! Continuing last year’s partnership, Texas Frightmare Weekend is monstrously proud to re-team with IFC Midnight and present a gruesome twosome of new horror films from two specialists in the genre!
Texas Frightmare Weekend welcomes a stellar duo of hotly anticipated chillers with Ben Ketai’s subterranean terror opus Beneath and Álex de la Iglesia’s epic Spanish horror/comedy Witching and Bitching!
A coven of flesh-eating witches meet their match when a group of hapless thieves stumble upon a mysterious mansion in Witching and Bitching, the freaky new horror comedy from Spanish director Álex de la Iglesia (Mutant Action, Day of the Beast, As Luck Would Have It) and starring Hugo Silva, Mario Casas, and Carmen Maura. Winner of eight GOYA Awards (Spain’s Academy Awards) including Best Special Effects and Best Makeup, this festival favorite is presented in its native Spanish language with English subtitles. IFC Midnight will release Witching and Bitching this summer in theatres, on cable, and via digital VOD.
In Beneath a deadly supernatural force is unleashed when a crew of coal miners and a female environmentalist find themselves trapped 600 feet below ground. This creepy and claustrophobic horror thriller from director Ben Ketai (30 Days of Night: Dark Days) stars Jeff Fahey, Kelly Noonan, Joey Kern, and Brent Briscoe. Winner of six awards at SCREAMFEST, LA’s annual horror film festival, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Special Effects, IFC Midnight will release Beneath this summer in theatres, on cable, and via digital VOD.
These two spectacular free screenings are courtesy of IFC Midnight, free for TFW passholders, and will conveniently take place at The Alamo Drafthouse Grindhouse Cinema, located inside The Hyatt Regency DFW – the home of Texas Frightmare Weekend!
