Leatherface Goes to War

Though it’s tough to really draw any parallels between The Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel (opening on October 6th) and Epic Games’ Gears of War videogame, that’s not stopping New Line from slappin’ them together like a bloody PB&J.
Variety got wind that the studio is putting together an event for fans called “A Match Made in Hell,” in which they will unveil the first footage from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (review) followed by the chance to play one another in Gears (which we last told you about here). Attendees will be picked from online entries, and the event will take place next Wednesday in New York, LA, Chicago, and San Francisco. No details as to how to sign up, but we’re digging.
Oh, and here’s the connection: Apparently one of the main characters in Gears has a weapon that is a mix of chainsaw and gun. And that’s all you need for a delicious combination! TCM: The Beginning opens everywhere on October 6th; Gears of War is due out November 7th (but you should pre-order it right here!).
Wonder what kind of gamer Leatherface would be in our forums!
