Teaser Trailer Takes You Into The ShelterAfter wrapping production back in January, John Fallon’s The Shelter is headed off to the festival circuit later this year, and on tap for you today is the film’s official teaser trailer, which give us our first sneak peek at the housebound horrors that await. Dig it!

From the Press Release
John Fallon’s feature length directorial debut, “The Shelter”, has released its first teaser trailer on the JoBlo Movie Network YouTube Channel.

The film is a supernatural thriller based on Fallon’s own screenplay and stars Michael Paré (“Streets of Fire”).

Fallon discusses the teaser’s release: “Although Holbrook Multi-Media and I are still in the early stages of post-production at the moment, assembling our first rough cut, we wanted to whip up this teaser trailer for all of our supporters out there, cast and crew and to provide a taste of the picture to potentials buyers at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. We are looking forward to covering the festival circuit once we’re done and bringing the finished film to the 2014 American Film Market in November 2014.”

The film will be represented at this year’s Cannes Film market by DC MEDIAS.

Editor Bobby Holbrook 2 explains his thoughts behind the teaser: “The feel for the film as well as the teaser is to give it a 1970’s horror vibe. So we kept to that approach with the cutting, coloring and the music composition of this teaser trailer. We’re mixing new and old techniques to create something really different and effective.”

Synopsis: On a star filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs (Michael Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?

The film stars Michael Paré, Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Lauren Thomas, Anastasia Brooke, Thomas Johnston and Amy Wickenheiser. It is produced by Donny Broussard and John Fallon, with Null Effects handling the VFX and Shawn Knippelberg composing the film’s music.

The film is co-financed by Bruise Productions and JoBlo Movie Productions.
