It’s been awhile since last we heard anything regarding the proposed prequel to The Shining, entitled The Overlook Hotel, but today an interesting tidbit has hit the interwebs! Read on for details.
File this one under RUMOR for now, but Schmoes Know is reporting that Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity) has been offered the exclusive right to say yes or no to direct the property, which is set up at WB.
Last we heard Glen Mazzara, who ran AMC’s smash hit series “The Walking Dead,” was in talks to write The Overlook Hotel. The film is being developed at Warner Bros. to be produced by Mythology Entertainment’s Bradley Fischer, James Vanderbilt, and Laeta Kalogridis.
There’s definitely a prequel to be told here what with such rich characters as Lloyd the bartender and of course the infamous Delbert Grady and his spooky twins. Stay tuned.
