Bong Joon-ho’s Snowpiercer has had a long and arduous journey to theaters here in the States, initially being heavily edited for mass American consumption. Thankfully, that journey has come to a happy end as the film is set for release on June 27th in its full original form.

Can I get a hallelujah?!

While we wait for the release, check out a brand new piece of poster art for the hotly anticipated flick, courtesy of Vulture, which features star Chris Evans front and center!

The English-language directorial debut of Bong Joon-ho (The Host), the film stars The Avengers’ Chris Evans, The Help’s Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Alison Pill, Tilda Swinton, and Song Kang-ho.

Based on the graphic novel Le Transperceneige, Snowpiercer is set in the not too distant future, where a new Ice Age has wiped out most of the human race. With a revolt brewing onboard, the Snowpiercer is a train of Earth’s lone survivors that travels around the cold world.

Synopsis
In a future where a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet, a class system evolves aboard the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine.
