Ridley Scott Returns With Stones
This morning it was announced that Ridley Scott is finally making his way back to our genre with a new flick called Stones. Welcome back, Ridley, welcome back.
Daily Variety reports that the supernatural thriller will revolve around the mysterious destruction of religious sites around the world. Some investigation reveals that Stonehenge is the tie that links them all, which still has primeval powers. It’s about time Stonehenge did something for once!
The script was penned by Matt Cirulnick, who got the job after penning the New Regency Greek mythology drama Elysium. Scott’s working on Body of Lies right now, and will likely move right into Nottingham when that is done, so don’t expect to see Stones any time soon. Shame, too, cause it’s a pretty cool premise so far.
