Cage Set for Knowing

default-featured-image

Nicholas Cage set for Knowing! How does the director of one of the best, most underrated sci fi movies in the last decade end up working with Nic Cage? Alex Proyas must have pissed off some Aztec deity or something, because Cage is now set to star in his next film, Knowing, according to Daily Variety.

Of course, maybe Dark City was a fluke; if you consider the over-the-top garishness that was I, Robot, Proyas’ last film, one has to wonder if maybe he’s not the badass director we all hoped he would be when he directed the late Brandon Lee in The Crow.

Knowing, which has been in various stages of production for years now, tells of a father (Cage) who realizes that a lot of what was predicated in a time capsule buried at his son’s school has already come true, which means the world is going to end by the end of the week. The script’s technically been in the hands of Boogeyman co-writers Stiles White and Juliet Snowden before Proyas and Stuart Hazeldine gave it the once-over. Shooting starts in Melbourne on March 17th.
