Spooks Site Now Online!
We’ve been telling you guys about director Ryan Schifrin’s comic book mini-series Spooks for a while now (“Dread Central Hosts Spooks Forum!” – January 2008). To help build the hype for the project’s launch in February, Spooks just got its official website! From there you can access excerpts from the series’ first issue, check out illustrated fact files on key military personnel, and more.
If you’re just now joining us on the topic of Spooks, here is a brief synopsis of the comic: “The series spotlights the Department of Supernatural Defense, a branch of the military that ‘recruits, arms, and deploys specially trained forces based within the nation’s borders in support of national security…to keep the country free of supernatural enemies, whether their origins are domestic, international, or otherworldly.’ This first limited series reveals a plot by supernatural terrorist groups to enter the United States covertly and launch a nationwide assault.”
