Marshall to Helm a Sacrilege
How weird is this? I was just with Doomsday director Neil Marshall all weekend at Fear Fest and never once did we get a peep about a film called Sacrilege…
Nevertheless, Variety announced this morning that Sacrilege will be Marshall’s next film, a period horror movie set during the Old West. “It is set during the Gold Rush, a time remembered for incidents like the Donner Party,” Marshall told the trade. “It is meant to be a pitch-black, gritty, period horror movie.”
It’s just so weird, I tell you; this is the first I’ve ever heard of it, and I’ve talked to the man numerous times. Apparently it’s been a passion project for a few years now, too. The Unforgiven by way of Lovecraft , he calls it. Rogue will release Sacrilege, which Marshall will be writing, as well .
Keep it here for more details and look out for our series of Doomsday interviews going up all week long!
Hope for something tuly unique in the Dread Central forums!
