U.S. Release Date Set for Bloodborne; New Trailer
A lone figure stands aloft above an ancient city, the foreboding chime of a hand bell calling to the void. The camera descends on a man in a cemetery. Then mayhem ensues…
This new look at Bloodborne’s combat ends with one parting shot: February 6, 2015.
While showcasing the game’s offensive based combat, the trailer also flashes glimpses of the various classes of Bloodborne. Aside from the standard class, armed with what is comparable to a collapsible scythe, there is a rogue class and a sturdier heavy damage class. The rogue is armed with a small blade, but the heavier class comes complete with a giant hammer.
By using short clips from different scenarios, the trailer is able to give gamers a wider look at some of the monsters appearing in Bloodborne. Cleaver-wielding maniacs, giant rat-like creatures, and an abomination with its head slit open and skin flapping wildly. Based on this trailer, the monsters are where Bloodborne will show its ingenuity.
What is slightly alarming about the video is its graphics. While the in-engine segments are up to par, the pre-rendered scenes at the trailer’s outset resemble something from the beginning of the previous console generation.
