More Saw V Details, Casting, Saw VI Director Named & Game Details
Hey, you Jigsaw fanatics! More details about your favorite October franchise have arisen, and we have your news nice, hot, and sticky!
It’s been learned that the underlying theme behind Saw V is going to be “teamwork”. Apparently Jigsaw’s murderous legacy is going to be so twisted that people are really going to have to work together as a means to survive. Characters will be introduced in this film to lay the groundwork for Saw VI, which will be directed by longtime Saw series editor Kevin Greutert, and two alternate endings have been filmed.
Thankfully, even though there will be some fill-in-the-blank type tidbits for fans, Saw V will not be as dependent on the past entries in the franchise, and that’s a good thing because if you didn’t watch Saw III right before Saw IV, you would have been completely lost.
Also, Mark Rolston, whom you may remember as Pvt. Drake from Aliens, has joined the cast; and Charlie Clouser is back handling the composing duties on the film.
For those interested in the Saw video game, it is said to be taking place in an alternate universe in which a key character from the very first film lives. Who might that be? Sources are remaining tight-lipped, but apparently some of the writers are mad that they didn’t think of that possible story for a film sequel!
Keep it right here for more as it comes in! Saw V will be in theatres on October 28th.
