9-Episode Twin Peaks Miniseries Heading to Showtime
There’s good news, there’s great news, and then there’s the news we got today. There’s a nine-episode “Twin Peaks” revival heading to Showtime, and the original creators are writing, producing, AND directing. Does it get any better than this?
Per Showtime, the groundbreaking television phenomenon, Golden Globe® and Peabody Award-winner “Twin Peaks” will return as a new limited series on Showtime in 2016. Series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost will write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, and Lynch will direct every episode.
Set in the present day, “Twin Peaks” will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers and a satisfying conclusion for the series’ passionate fan base.
Along with a pair of tweets from Frost himself about the upcoming show, Showtime released a teaser video. Hearing those opening notes of the theme song certainly sent chills down my back – what’s your reaction?
