Perkins’ 14 Gets Four
Well, things are moving along nicely for Craig (Dark Ride) Singer’s next experiment with After Dark Films, the Horrorfest entry Perkins’ 14. A recent casting call on Massify, where the film had its origins, has yielded the primary leads for the horror film, which will be a part of the upcoming 8 Films to Die For.
Big surprise, they’re all young and pretty. Well, I guess that depends on your definition of “pretty”, but you get my drift. Josh Davidson (Deadlands: The Rising, Women’s Studies) has nabbed the lead male role, while Trey Farley (Bend it Like Beckham) will fill in the male supporting role, Katherine Pawlak (pictured, “Lonelygirl15”) will be the lead female and Heather Tocquigny (Frankenstien Rising) will be the supporting female. Hopefully their characters will actually have names when the film is made.
Perkins’ 14, in case you’ve forgotten, is aboout a man who grew up paranoid his entire life that the people who brutally murdered his parents when he was young would come back to get him. At the age of 34 he loses it, kidnapping 14 people, and attempts to brainwash them so they will protect him from the killers who are coming for him. Years later … things get even more messy.
