The Door Opens on Digital Platforms and Canadian DVD; First Clip Walks In
Switchblade Studios and Good Soldier Films have awarded the Canadian home video rights for their new horror feature The Door to Black Fawn Distribution. The film will be released on DVD in Canada on October 28, 2014. But first, Juice Worldwide will release it through iTunes and other digital platforms on October 14, 2014.
“I am thrilled and excited to be releasing my latest movie, The Door, with the amazing people at Black Fawn Distribution,” stated director Patrick McBrearty (Bounty Hunters).
“My goal was to make a movie with some old school, slow build scares,” McBrearty added, “and I wanted the environment to play a big part in the story as well. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the best cast and crew members ever, and I honestly feel that this is the best movie I’ve ever made.”
“Horror films that have a mystery at the centre of them are always intriguing, and we thought The Door was pretty provocative right out of the gate,” explains BFD Sales Manager C.F. Benner. “Since the film is built around a major unknown, it’s going to be a really fun ride for a lot of horror fans.”
The Door DVD will include director commentary, behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast, and a selection of trailers. The film can be pre-ordered from the Black Fawn store or iTunes.
