Looking Ahead at Titan Comics’ The Chronicles of Legion Vol. 1, Norman, and The Evil Within #2

default-featured-image

Titan Comics has two prequels releasing on November 5th:  The Chronicles of Legion Vol. 1: Rise of the Vampires and Issue #2 (of 4) of The Evil Within. Looking for something more original? Then meet Norman, a creepy kid heading our way in the spring.

For more info on this trio and everything else Titan has upcoming, visit Titan-Comics.com.

The four-volume Chronicles caught our eye because they promise “three incarnations of Vlad Tepes Dracula” within the origin story of I Am Legion. Say what you will, even after all these years and interpretations (good and bad), we’re always on the lookout for new vampire tales, especially those involving our beloved Count. Here’s hoping this 56-page hardcover graphic novel doesn’t disappoint.

The Chronicles of Legion Vol. 1: Rise of the Vampires

January 1812, Moscow: Armand Malachi recruits mercenaries from Napoleon’s defeated army in order to recover a lost, mysterious treasure.

October 1885, Whitechapel, London: Victor Douglas Thorpe receives a curious, dramatic inheritance…

Three lives, three incarnations of Vlad Tepes Dracula.

The same blood flows in the veins of all three, the blood of Dracula. Against their knowledge and their will, they will be forced to take part in a fratricidal feud between Vlad and Radu: a battle that has lasted for centuries and has claimed countless lives.

This is how the vampires rise…

From working with George Romero on everything from Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead to Tales from the Darkside to the Dune miniseries to his Netflix series Residue...he's done it all. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old. Episode 266: Opus Writer/Director Mark Anthony Green and Michael Jackson's Thriller (1983)
This week we were unbelievably excited to chat with writer and director Mark Anthony Green! We talk about his feature film debut Opus, working with musical icons The-Dream and Nile Rodgers, Ayo Edebiri's star power and the eccentricities (and graciousness) of John Malkovich. Mark Anthony shares a fantastic story of John on set and so much more before we dig a bit into his horror history and find out why Michael Jackson's Thriller music video scared him as a kid. A shorter episode this week, but easily one of our favorite conversations in a long while. Don't miss it. And go see Opus in theaters!Follow Mary Beth, Terry and the Podcast on Bluesky.
