Neil Patrick Harris Joins American Horror Story’s Freak Show
NPH on AHS?!
It’s been hard to escape Neil Patrick Harris in recent years, as he seems to be everywhere you look. In the past couple of months we’ve learned that he’ll be hosting his own variety show on NBC and even the 2015 Academy Awards, and today it’s been revealed that the former Doogie Howser is headed to the “Freak Show.”
TV Line reports that Harris will guest star in upcoming episodes of “American Horror Story’s” fourth season alongside his husband, David Burtka. Harris will appear in “Freak Show’s” final two episodes as a chameleon salesman, while Burtka will turn up in the season finale in what’s being described as a sexy storyline with Jessica Lange’s Elsa Mars.

As it turns out, Neil Patrick Harris is both a big fan of “American Horror Story” and a good friend of its co-creator, Ryan Murphy. Harris was invited on the show by Murphy through Twitter, and together they’ve been creating his character.
“He had very specific ideas for what he wanted to do, and I had very specific ideas, so we’re working on melding those,” said Murphy.
“Freak Show’s” fourth episode airs tonight on FX, serving as a Part 2 to last week’s tale of Edward Mordrake. Whose soul will he take? Find out at 10pm ET/PT!
