Moore Helms Killers
Finally, a producer is stepping behind the camera to shoot a movie and see what it’s really like on the other side, especially the part about being yelled at by producers.
Specifically I refer to Chris Moore, the taller producer who would show up from time to time to make John Gulager’s life hellish during “Project Greenlight.” Moore has signed a deal to direct Killers, described as a horror/action movie, with Element, Lift, and Benderspink producing. That’s a lot of producers to do the yelling!
Sounding just a bit too much like Saw meets Battle Royale, Killers is about a group of friends who visit a remote cabin for a weekend of relaxation but instead are terrorized by a twisted psychopath who forces them to kill one another in order to survive. Agnes Bruckner (The Woods), Taryn Manning (The Breed), and Patrick Flueger (“The 4400”) have all signed on to star.
“I’m trying to behave the way I wish the directors I had my run-ins with would have behaved,” Moore told Variety. “I want to be open and will try to listen to others. I get to make a lot of decisions as a director, but there are people who are financing this that I still have to listen to.”
Production on Killers will begin in earnest on November 13th in New Orleans.
Wonder how Moore will hold up in our forums!
