AFM 2014: Bill Moseley and Fellow Horror Icons Lead The Horde
If you’re asking me, horror icon Bill Moseley is one of the true greats working within the confines of the genre, as he always manages to elevate every film he’s in to a higher level. Naturally, I’m immediately interested about any project that ole Chop-Top is involved in, and he’s got yet another one in the works. Read on!
We’ve learned today that LA-based 313 Films is heading to AFM to meet with sales agents on feature debut The Horde, currently shooting in LA. Along with Moseley, the cast includes Paul Logan (Mega Piranha) and Costas Mandylor (Saw 3-6).
Rounding out the cast of the Jared Cohn-directed film are Vernon Wells, Nestor Serrano, Matt Willig, Tiffany Brouwer, Sydney Sweeney, and John Omohundro.
The film follows ex-Navy Seal John Crenshaw (Paul Logan) as he accompanies his girlfriend (Tiffany Brouwer) and her students on a weekend nature photography expedition deep into the woods. What should be an educational and fun-filled weekend turns into horror as the group is besieged by an unspeakable evil – a horde of hideously disfigured, mutated humans with an insatiable taste for blood.
As things go from bad to worse, Crenshaw becomes their only hope if they want to reemerge from the woods alive.
The Horde is written by Paul Logan; produced by Doreen Bennett, Beth A. Thuna, Joel Bennett, Gabriel Campisi, Devin Reeve, and Paul Logan; and executive produced by Sonia Thuna.
The film is scheduled to open in 2015.
