Zombeavers Surface in the United States
Though our friends across the pond have been enjoying the goodness of Zombeavers on Blu-ray and DVD for a bit now, American audiences will finally be able to cuddle with these gnaw-happy critters soon enough!
Freestyle Releasing has set Zombeavers for release on VOD platforms and in limited theaters on March 20, 2015.
“Freestyle is happy to pick up this social media phenomenon with a very large built-in audience,” said Mark Borde, Co-President of Freestyle Releasing. “Zombeavers’ trailer alone has close to 3.5 million views and counting.”
Jordan Rubin’s hotly anticipated horror comedy features Cortney Palm (Sushi Girl), Hutch Dano (Zeke and Luther), Peter Gilroy, Rachel Melvin (Dumb and Dumber To, “Days of our Lives”), Jake Weary, Lexi Atkins, and Bill Burr.
Synopsis:
The film follows a group of college students headed out into the wilderness for spring break, unaware of the danger that lurks beneath the lake. Unbeknownst to the vacationers a chemical spill has irreversibly altered the wildlife, and Zombeavers are on the prowl. As a weekend of sex, drugs, and debauchery gets under way, the beavers close in on their prey, and the bloodthirsty beasts really do take the term “killer weekend” to the next level.
