New Trailer Unearthed for Ryan Nicholson’s Collar
We learned in early September that Ryan Nicholson’s “extreme horror” film Collar is heading our way on November 18th from Unearthed Films and Plotdigger Films, and in honor of the impending release, a new trailer has arrived.
Produced by Roy Nicholson, James Morgart, Adam Torkel, Emsch Cutter, and Keryn Thompson, Collar was written and directed by Ryan Nicholson.
The film stars Nick Principe (Laid to Rest 1 and 2, Seed 2: The New Breed) as a satanic derelict with a taste for human flesh who terrorizes skid row’s prostitutes, junkies, and homeless, escalating his level of violence after he abducts a rookie cop played by Aidan Dee (“Caprica,” A Dangerous Man) on a routine patrol.
Collar also stars Mackenzie Murdock (Father’s Day, Manborg), Ronald Thompson (Hanger), Momona Komagata, Wolfgang Meyer, and Mihola Terzik (Gutterballs). The soundtrack is by Protector 101.
Shot on location in Vancouver, BC, the film features a heavy assortment of gruesome FX makeup design by Michelle Grady, who previously collaborated with Nicholson on Gutterballs, Hanger, and Famine; it was lensed by Wolfgang Meyer and has the most locations, effects, and setups attempted so far by Nicholson in his full and varied career.
Synopsis:
A rookie cop (Murdock) starts her shift like any other, but soon it will all change for the worse. A derelict with a reputation of satanic violence (Principe) attacks the officer and collars her with a dog leash, which is just the start of his abusive ritual.
