Hey, kiddies, it’s that time of the month when the friendly neighborhood mailperson would have delivered the latest Box of Dread to all of our subscribers. After teasing Garbage Pail Kids and Mars Attacks for the past month, we can now tell you all about the EXCLUSIVE items we put in your November Box of Dread!

Mars Attacks is a science fiction trading card series released in 1962 that tells the story of the invasion of Earth by cruel, hideous Martians under the command of a corrupt Martian government who wishes to conceal the information from their race that Mars is doomed to explode and proposes a colonization of Earth. Mars Attacks!, the 1996 film directed by Tim Burton, was based on this series.

2) Mars Attacks 11”x17” Mini Poster (EXCLUSIVE to Box of Dread) – $9.99

The art for this Mars Attacks mini poster was originally created by Chad McCown for a promotional set of nine different Mars Attacks promo cards handed out at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. The first card was available at the Topps booth. The back of each promo card prompts collectors to go to another booth to get the next card and so forth. All 9 cards fit together to form a massive puzzle.

This 9-card puzzle was recreated in one cohesive Box of Dread EXCLUSIVE mini poster!

5) Garbage Pail Kids Minikins Mini Figure (2 mystery figures) – $3.99

MiniKins is a line of 1” Tall Mini Figures from Topps featuring the famous Garbage Pail Kids characters brought to life! Each pack comes with a set of 2 Minikins Figures and their individual sticker cards with the names and backstories for each character. There are 48 unique MiniKins Figures designs to collect. The mini figures are not just limited to base versions, as there are several different variants for each character. Neon Blue and Neon Red both fall at 1:3 packs. Neon Green is slightly more rare at 1:4 packs. Neon Yellow figures are the toughest, landing 1:12 packs. Factoring in all the different variations, there are 130 figures to collect in all.

6) Garbage Pail Kids Chrome Trading Cards – $3.99

Garbage Pail Kids Chrome Original Series 2 comes with 214 Chrome cards to collect. In the base set, there are 84 characters from the original 1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Series 2. The remaining 26 cards feature 13 returning characters, each with the trademark A and B name variations. There are also 84 Chrome concept sketches by the original artists (42 A and B name variations) plus 20 C-Name short prints that are only available in every 1:100 packs.

Under the Topps Chrome banner, there are numerous Refractor parallels. Standard Refractors come in every 1:3 packs. Others include Prism (#/199), Black (#/99), Gold (#/50) and Superfractor (1/1). Printing Plates are also randomly inserted.

Artist autographs include John Pound, a legend when it comes to Garbage Pail Kids. Approximately 2,200 autographs are part of the release’s entire print run. Did you get one of these?

7) 2013 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Mini Cards – $3.99

These Mini Cards were previously only available from Topps.com. The online exclusive will feature an anthology of Brand New Series 1 through Brand New Series 3 with eight additional new characters. There are 396 base cards in 2013 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Mini Cards with 110 for Brand New Series 1, 146 for BNS2 and 132 for BNS3 with 8 all new characters.

In addition, there are also randomly inserted Printing Plates (1:48 packs), Mini Sketch Cards (1:253 packs) and Artist Autographs (1:48 packs) scattered throughout the sets.
