newsWhat’s this? A new horror movie heading our way next year that’s not a remake, sequel, OR adaptation? Read on for the first word on Brian Duffield’s The Babysitter, which McG’s Wonderland Sound and Vision has just picked up.

Per Deadline, Duffield’s spec script is a “unique horror/coming of age story.”  Not much else is known about The Babysitter except that it’s slated for 2015, McG and Mary Viola will produce, and Duffield will exec produce with Wonderland’s Director of Development Steven Bello, who brought the project in to the company. Wonderland’s COO James McGough brokered the deal along with David Boyle.

Duffield is best known for the upcoming Insurgent (the second installment of the popular Divergent series), and the horror-romance Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately, which also serves as his directorial debut.

We’ll have more as it comes!
