Shooting Wraps on The Dead Director’s Never Let Go
Back in 2010 the tired zombie sub-genre was refreshingly taken back to the ways of old with The Dead, directed by brothers Jonathan and Howard J. Ford. The latter is getting ready to unleash a film all his own, and on tap for you today is the latest. Read on!
Screen Daily reports that Howard J. Ford’s child abduction thriller Never Let Go has just wrapped production, having shot in Morocco, Spain, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Ford also wrote and produced the film, which stars Angela Dixon.
Never Let Go follows a single American mother on vacation in a beautiful bustling but unfamiliar land, desperately searching for her missing child following an apparent abduction. Trusting no one, she takes the law into her own hands, stopping at nothing to find her daughter’s abductors and deliver her own form of justice.
“I want to take audiences on a very believable but nerve-shredding journey that throws them into the visceral plight that is the worst fear of parents everywhere,” said Ford.
A teaser will be unveiled at Berlinale 2015 and will be ready for delivery ahead of Cannes. World rights are currently available via Latitude Films UK Ltd.
Never Let Go was produced by Ford and co-produced by Laura Jane Stephens with Amir Moallemi executive producing.
