West’s Doghouse Ready to Roll
Man, it’s been a long time since we’ve made mentioned of Jake (Evil Aliens West’s next flick, Doghouse. Months, in fact, but today Fangoria got an update from West and writer Daniel Schaffer.
The six-week Doghouse shoot will go down starting this week with names like Noel (“Doctor Who”) Clarke, Danny (Severance) Dyer and Emily (Evil Aliens) Booth in starring roles. The film follows a group of guys suffering through various mid-life crises who decided to head out for a “boy’s weekend” in the county. They quickly realize they’ve not chosen wisely when the village they end up in becomes home to an airborne toxin that turns all the women into psychotic cannibals.
Good way to ruin a man’s fun. ”The women, rather than being mindless zombies,” Schaffer explained to the mag, ”are all personifications of our heroes’ paranoia and fears of emasculation. Of course, this is all in the context of a classic zombie-action movie with loads of blood and gore.”
Sounds like a shitload of fun to me! Be sure to check out the official Doghouse site for a look at more early artwork, and keep it here for updates!
