IFC Gets Coffin Joe Collection
Those of you with cable (a number I blissfully don’t count myself among) will have a lot to look forward to from IFC in the coming months. An article in Variety today reports that London-based One-Eyed Films has just sold a nine-picture package to IFC containing all the Coffin Joe movies!
The package was simply titled The Coffin Joe Horror Collection, and will feature Awakening of the Beast, This Night I Will Possess Your Corpse and hopefully the latest, The Embodiment of Evil, (though it’s not mentioned in the article) along with the rest of Coffin Joe’s exploits!
The bulk of the article is about One-Eyed’s acquisition of No morire sola (I Will Never Die Alone), an “extreme rape/revenge thriller” from Argentine director Adrian Garcia Bogliano (Room for Tourists). Alone is the story of a group of female victims who take justice into their own hands against the denizens of the small town that wronged them.
