New Jersey Celebrates Tusk Day Next Month!
Here on Dread we’re big fans of Kevin Smith’s Tusk (review), which unfortunately didn’t get all that much love from the horror community this year. It’s a shame, really, because it’s the sort of batshit crazy film that reminded us why we fell in love with horror movies in the first place.
As a thank you to all who did appreciate his most unique film to date, Kevin Smith is throwing a little celebration in Red Bank, New Jersey, next month, dubbing January 18th “Tusk Day.” The event includes a screening of the film as well as a Q&A session with Smith himself, making this a must-attend for all fans.
In addition to the festivities, DVD and Blu-ray copies of Tusk are built into the ticket prices, and they will come signed by Smith. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, limited edition “Tusk Day” MiniMates toys will be offered up at the screening, while supplies last.
“Tusk Day” takes place exclusively at Bow Tie Cinemas in Red Bank, New Jersey, with two separate showtimes available. Head over to the official Tusk website to purchase your tickets and learn more!
Written and directed by Kevin Smith, the film stars Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, and Michael Parks. Long plays a journalist who finds the story of a lifetime in Mr. Howe (Parks), a worldwide adventurer with amazing tales and a curious penchant for walruses.
Look for the flick on VOD outlets NOW, and pick up the DVD/Blu-ray on December 30th.
