Season Two of True Blood Confirmed
Not even three episodes in, and HBO is apparently already very happy with the latest creation from “Six Feet Under” creator Alan Ball, “True Blood”, as they just sent out a press release announcing that the show’s been signed on for a second season!
“We are absolutely thrilled that the critics and our viewers have embraced True Blood,” president of Programming Group and West Coast Operations Michael Lombardo said in the release. “Alan Ball has done it again – made an addictive series that is unlike any other.”
Indeed, critics all over the country (including our own Debi Moore, who reviewed it “>right here) fell in the love with the show, based on the series of novels written by Charlaine Harris, almost immediately. If you’ve not caught it yet, it’s set in an alternate world where vampires are real and mainly only drink synthetic blood. A bond develops between a human and a vampire in a backwoods Louisiana town, and lots of complications arise.
Production on Season 2 of “True Blood” is expected to start soon so keep it here for updates!
