Carrie Fisher Joins Sorority Row?
I’ve really been trying to avoid any and all mention of Sorority Row, the remake of the little-seen 1983 slasher House on Sorority Row, but this casting news is just too strange not to mention.
THR reports this morning that Carrie Fisher, the woman who caused many of us growing up in the 80’s to really start to like girls thanks to her Return of the Jedi outfit, is in talks to play house mother to the girls of Sorority Row. The plot follows a group of sorority sisters who are being stalked by a serial killer while trying to cover up the death of one of their own after a prank goes horribly wrong.
The remake, which also stars Rumer Willis, Julian Morris, Briana Evigan and Leah Pipes, is expected to roll under the direction of Stewart Hendler next month in Pittsburgh. Whether or not Fisher joining the cast will help the film remains to be seen, but I guess it can’t hurt, can it?
