Mulberry Street Duo Reteams With Glass Eye for Stake Land
Though Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix just teamed up with Dark Sky to make a series of films (read about it “>here), those aren’t the only films Pix will be producing in the coming months; Fessenden told Fangoria last night about a new movie they’re making with the Mulberry Street team of Jim Mickle and Nick Damaci that promises to do for bloodsuckers what Mulberry did for mutant rat zombies.
The film is called Stake Land, and if you can’t guess by the title, it’s a vampire flick. Not much more was revealed other than that it will be shooting in New York in November and that Mickle will direct and co-write with Damaci, who will also star. Most of the crew behind Mulberry Street will return for Stake Land, as a matter of fact.
The mag also learned that Fessenden is in talks with some Hollywood big shots about making his major studio debut with a “pretty cool” (their words) remake. I’m curious as to what that could be, but we’re not meant to know such information yet.
Keep it here for more on Stake Land and Glass Eye Pix’s numerous other films in the works as we get it!
