Ever find yourself sitting in your home and thinking, “Man, I wonder if this place has any history… Has anyone died here? Was it violently? Can something… anything still be here?” I know we havem but we’re not wondering any longer.

POLTERGEIST the movie, from FOX 2000 PICTURES and METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER PICTURES, is in partnership with DiedInHouse.com to uncover the secrets buried in homes across the US.

Diedinhouse.com is a first of its kind, web-based service that helps you find out if anyone has died at any valid US address. Died In House™ instantly searches millions of records to determine if a death has occurred at that location.

At the end of the Poltergeist trailer (debuting tomorrow, February 5th, at 9:00 am PT), fans will receive an exclusive promo code. In the film, which is to be released in 3D, Jared Harris will play Carrigan, a larger than life TV personality who left the world of academia behind to become the star host of basic cable TV show “Haunted House Cleaners.”

Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Saxon Sharbino, and Jane Adams also star. Gil Kenan directs. Look for the film to be haunting theatres on July 24, 2015.
