More Shyamalan Horror in 2010?

It's wind!M. Night Shyamalan appears to have no intention of moving away from our genre at all. I guess that’s good news for his fans who were not bummed out by The Village, Signs, or even the big windbag known as The Happening (review).

Bloody Disgusting‘s Spooky Dan spoke with the filmmaker about his next project and what we can expect on The Happening DVD.

The interesting bit came when M. Night mentioned it may only be a couple of more years before another Shyamalan experience comes haunting (he has three ideas in mind already), “One is more straight-up scary, one is more lighthearted scary – kind of more in the Signs vein, which I had a great time doing the lighter end on that one – the other one isn’t… well, it’s not Gothic… but I am always in that world when I am working on original ideas. I will be shooting that one in 2010, so I have some time to decide.”

The Happening (pre-order) will be hitting store shelves in DVD form next week. Be sure to also listen to our Happening “>Dinner for Fiends in case you forgot just how hilariously bad the film is.
