James Wan-Produced Demonic Opening in Brazil; New Artwork and Trailer

The James Wan-produced horror flick Demonic opens tomorrow in Brazil (because god forbid we get it here) under the title A Casa dos Mortos, which in English translates to House of the Dead. Uwe wept.

The film is produced by Wan and Lee Clay (Beautiful Boy) and directed by Will Canon (Brotherhood). The script is based on an original idea of Wan’s.

Golden Globe-nominated Maria Bello (A History of Violence) stars as the lead female along with Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy).

The film centers on the aftermath of an horrific massacre where five college students were brutally murdered inside an abandoned home. Detective Mark Lewis and psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Klein question one of the few survivors, who explains they were amateur ghost-hunters, seeking out paranormal phenomenon at the abandoned house, which was believed to be haunted. But what started out as a harmless activity turned into something truly terrifying.
