The Demolisher is a film we’ve been following for a while now, and today our patience is rewarded as the slow burn, psychological thriller finally has a teaser trailer to share!

This is writer/director Gabriel Carrer’s fifth feature film and serves as his follow-up to In the House of Flies (starring Henry Rollins). He describes The Demolisher as “a surreal and hyper-stylistic take on a relentless and emotionally wounded vigilante.”  It stars Ry Barrett, Tianna Nori, and Jessica Vano.

Shot in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada, The Demolisher is very character-driven and tells of a man’s slow descent into darkness and despair with Toronto being a living, breathing character in the film.

The Director of Photography was Martin Buzora, and the film was edited by Angus McLellan. The score was composed by Glenn Nicholls (Future Funk Squad), a UK electronic artist who is responsible for remixing The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, and Nine Inch Nails singles.

Along with the new trailer, below are several stills. For more info “like” The Demolisher on Facebook.

Synopsis:
Bruce is a repairman tormented by a crippling sense of responsibility for his disabled wife, Samantha, an ex-policewoman. Bruce’s increasing hyper-sensitivity to the injustice suffered by his wife steers him down a dark path of vigilantism. His disintegrating mental health, paranoia, and overwhelming sense of doom cause Bruce to channel his rage towards a young woman. Both a character study and a psychological examination of trauma, The Demolisher is an unapologetic portrayal of what can happen when a fragile mind is pushed too far.
