Krampus – Naughty New Victims Join the Cast
Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat) is looking to add a lot of spooky to Christmas with his new film Krampus, and we simply cannot wait to dig into it! Speaking of which, more casting news has come!
According to THR and The Wrap, Adam Scott, Toni Collette, Stefania Owen, and David Koechner have joined the cast of Krampus, the Christmas-themed horror project from Legendary. The story centers on a family that comes under attack from a Santa Claus-like ancient entity who punishes bad kids.
Scott will play the father, a workaholic and rather absent dad who has to step up for his family. Owen will play Scott’s daughter. Collette will play the mother, a woman who pretends everything is perfect with her family via her elaborate meals but will also have to dig deep to protect her family. Allison Tolman already is on board as Collette’s sister-in-law, while Emjay Anthony is playing the son. Koechner will play another father whose child has gone missing under mysterious circumstances.
Legendary is eying a spring shoot in New Zealand. Dougherty co-wrote the script with Todd Casey and Zach Shields, and Universal will release the movie on December 4, 2015.
